On-site sit three historic buildings – The Loft Barn, The Homestead and the privately occupied Cottage. Rose & Smith is a unique, boutique Wedding & Events Venue in the idyllic Wairarapa at The Tauherenikau Racecourse. Located just an hour from Wellington’s CBD and fifteen minutes from Greytown & Martinborough.

Prefab Hall is the ideal venue for a wide variety of weddings ranging from a formal seated dinner to a more relaxed informal style. You could also choose to have your ceremony in the hall or outside in the patio/lane area if the weather is suitable.

Previous weddings have included formal dinners, shared platters set on long tables, buffet-style service or pass-around cocktail-style food. The variety of styles is only limited by your imagination.

You can approach us directly to select a date for the event and then approach one or more of the caterers on our list to obtain a quote or quotes. Alternatively, you can approach a caterer directly and they will book the hall on your behalf.

Yvonne is a photographer based in Wellington, New Zealand but she will happily travel to the Kapiti Coast, Wairarapa, Manuwatu & Wanganui to capture your special day. Yvonnes approach is to document the day as organically and in as natural a way as possible. She aims to find the balance between capturing candid moments and classic portraits.

We have a curated approach to our wedding designs, I love hand-made or custom details to add a bespoke look to your wedding. I am passionate about elegant, beautiful blooms, creative design, gorgeous fabrics, and original vintage and antique items.

As well as designing your floral arrangements and selecting the blooms direct from our specialist growers, we assist you in choosing any accessories to create the look you are after and will offer the best suggestions for your venue.
